EMP Persistence Tour 2018 with Hatebreed, Madball, Terror, Power Trip, Born From Pain, Broken Teeth!, Insanity Alert
One day after local metal fans had their fair share of good ol’ head banging, it was time for the Hardcore aficionados of the Ruhr area to show off their newly learnt pit moves. As in previous years, the merchandising company EMP decided to organize a wonderful opportunity to get your rib cage bashed in by signing up seven Hardcore metal bands and letting them play for a good six hours in a row.

Arch Enemy - “Will To Power” Tour 2018 - Supports: Wintersun, Tribulation and Jinjer
The concert year 2018 started with a bang for all fans of good old metal music: On last Friday night, the quite roomy venue Turbinenhalle was the place to go for roughly 3,600 metal heads, and they were in for a treat, as a total of four bands were awaiting them.

Depeche Mode & Pumarosa
If there’s a band that packs out massive stadiums all around the world and makes the entire audience, from the front lines at the stage till the top tears up above, completely lose it, a band that makes all those who had tickets for the seats jump up euphorically as the intro resounds awaiting the musicians to hit the stage, a band that makes their fans dance from the first sounds on making the benches shake to the beat and sing along every single line with a big smile on their faces - it’s DEPECHE MODE.

Eluveitie
When the almost-polar night covers Northern Europe, bands start to show up in quantities as people are more keen to go to a warm club as outdoor activities are at the minimum. I have heard some music by ELUVEITIE before, so definitely decided to attend this gig, and this paid off really well.

Nena - unplugged concert
What a Christmas surprise for the employees of Amazon Brieselang near Berlin! It was kept secret right up to the last minute which music act would play for the 1,000+ employees of Amazon. Then the manager let the cat of the bag - 80s world star NENA. Wow! Hard to believe, but it was really true. With more than 25 million records sold worldwide, NENA is one of the most successful German artists in the history of music.
