One Night Of Queen
Obviously you can't go back in time to witness an original QUEEN show with Freddy Mercury at the front. Well, not quite actually. It is possible, though without all the physic mumbo jumbo and worrying about tachyons. Simply attend one of the "One Night Of Queen" homage with Freddy Mercury look-a-like Gary Mullen and his band The Works as we did on Sunday. What you will come to see there is an evening's worth of all the classic QUEEN hits you've come to enjoy and love, such as 'Bohemian Rhapsody' or 'We Are The Champions' to name but a few. Mullen and his band strive to deliver the "closest-to-real" experience there is. He sings like Mercury, dances like Mercury and looks very much like him. So if you're a QUEEN fan and you want to revive good old times, then you shouldn't miss out one of the shows.

Empyrium, Dornenreich
They never hit the charts but still they have a big fan base. The neo-romantics present a mélange of pure melancholy leading you into intoxication. They rarely play any live shows, last years show at WGT was the first one ever, and the show at Christuskirche in Bochum so far was the only chance to see them in 2012. The church was a special environment for this show being supported by DORNENREICH. The evening sadly started not perfectly. When the doors were up to open at 19:00, DORNENREICH just started their sound check. So people were only allowed to enter the foyer. When finally 45 minutes later the doors were opened, it took very long for anyone to find his place. The numbering of the seats seemed to be a bit complicated. Scheduled originally for 20:00, DORNENREICH finally entered the stage at 20:45 for their set.

Project Pitchfork, Stahlmann, Deviant UK
For many years now, PROJECT PITCHFORK are at the forefront of alternative electronic music, even though the popularity decreased with the more introverted albums 'Inferno' and 'Kaskade' for some time. The band returned to their roots, starting with the release of 'Dream, Tiresias!' in 2009. Two more albums would follow emphasizing a darker, more raw electronic sound the latest being 'Quantum Mechanics'. Since the band has always shown pleasure in playing live aplenty, they are going to return to the stages in 2012 travelling many German cities to deliver the apocalyptic message carved into attendees minds with the blunt force of edgy electronic beats. We took the chance to see them in Krefeld, where the band was supported by STAHLMANN and DEVIANT UK.

Megaherz, Exilia
In 2008, one of the most important representatives of hard German Rock continued to follow their very own agenda with a new singer and a new album 'Heuchler', an album that led them straight away from the Teutonic metal roots of earlier days into a new era and to celebrate 15 years of band history. Subsequently, the band has been touring a lot on i.e. various festivals with tremendous success from their respective audiences. Now, they are back with a new album, presenting it in several German clubs.
