Bloodstock Open Air Day 1: Snakebite, Black Spiders, Ross the Boss, Rage, Ensiferum, Gorgoroth, Sonata Arctica, Cathedral, Meshuggah, Opeth
Bloodstock has gone from strength to strength in recent years as all good festivals should. Starting some 10 years ago as a modest affair, it has grown into what resembles WACKEN's baby English cousin. As ever organisation was great, toilets generally tolerable and the food and drinks in the metal village wasn't so overpriced it made you wince (£3.00 for a burger, £1.50 for a coffee). Murderdolls
Joey Jordison is probably best known as the man behind the drummer’s mask of American bad guys of SLIPKNOT. But in 2002 he gathered lots of attention with the release of the first MURDERDOLLS album ‘Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls’. Another prominent member of the band is Horror Punk sensation WEDNESDAY 13 taking over the vocal duties. They quickly acquired a large fan base and since the release of their debut album are considered one of the most important representatives of horror punk. After a dormancy period, they decided to come back and in 2010 released their second album ‘Women and Children Last’. MURDERDOLLS is Wednesday 13 (lead vocals, keyboard, guitars, bass), Joey Jordison (lead guitar, backing vocals), Roman Surman (rhythm guitar), Jack Tankersley (bass) and Racci Shay (drums, percussion). http://www.murderdollsband.com/ / http://www.myspace.com/murderdollsband

Nocturnal Culture Night 5 Day 3: Saltatio Mortis, Leaether Strip, Nachtmahr, Modcom, Girls Under Glass, Xotox, Star Industry, Solar Fake, Slave Republic, Addicted Dreams
The last festival day welcomed us with nothing but sunshine and in addition it was even much warmer than before. Perfect conditions, I’d say to start into the final round of Nocturnal Culture Night 5, having in stock some indie pop with SLAVE REPUBLIC, classic EBM by LEAETHER STRIP or the medieval rock tunes of headliners SALTATIO MORTIS, amongst others of course.
