Saturday afternoon, about 30°C and 3,800 fans of electronic music going on a pilgrimage towards the Columbia Area in Berlin: it was time for the E-Tropolis Festival 2011. Bands like WELLE:ERDBALL, AGONOIZE, SUICIDE COMMANDO and, of course, VNV NATION already promised it to be a night to remember and they surely fulfilled the high expectations. So, after getting press passes and making our way through the black crowd, XOTOX was about to play and everybody was looking forward to a night filled with the finest electronic music: BÄSSER, HÄRTER, LAUTER!

M’era Luna Festival 2011 Day 1 Hangar Stage: Patrick Wolf, Atari Teenage Riot, Klutae, Funker Vogt, Nachtmahr, Julien-K, Fetisch:Mensch, Blind Passenger, The Mission Veo, Blitzmaschine
Also the hangar stage had a lot to offer. There was a good mix between electronic bands such as KLUTAE, BLIND PASSENGER or crazy ATARI TEENAGE RIOT but also some guitar bands like THE MISSION VEO or JULIEN-K. Extraordinary headliner surely was PATRICK WOLF…

Third festival day came much too fast. Also this day had some great names on the bill, first and foremost I was looking forward PETER HOOK ending the festival. But with a lot more of bands this day promised great experiences…

Ten years ago, the world was in shock about what happened in the US and left a mark in other world's most powerful nation and changed the course of history in many ways. Many might just have come to Cologne to dance eventual thoughts away for others it was just an opportunity to dance to VNV NATION in hopes of getting to hear a few new songs off the upcoming album 'Automatic'.
