Electro-Chanson-Pop-Romantic is how CHAPEAU CLAQUE call their music and it has just as much facets as it causes baffled looks with that term. From the Electro pop aerobic sound over the dramatic art of a piano ballad to chanson, disguised as French tango, CHAPEAU CLAQUE create a colourfully laced package of emotions and style. Singer and songwriter Maria Antonia (22) aka “Mademoiselle Chapeau” writes for 11 years, mostly in her mother language German, but now and then the English breaks through. The band she’s gathering around herself since 1 ½ years, after the release of their debut ‘Hand aufs Herz’, gives the new album ‘fabelweiss’ coming in October a new and more organic sound. From 29th to 31st August 2008, you can rock at the Area4 on two stages. A wide area, surrounded by meadows, forests and fields – with enough space for camping and parking – serves as foundation for the festival: The perfectly located Borkenberge Airfield in Lüdinghausen (between Dortmund and Münster).

A Blutengel-concert is always an extraordinary and highly special affair – with its dark atmosphere, the theatrical performance and the energy and spirit that the catchy Gothic-tunes evoke in an audience, resulting in them collectively going crazy over the music. A Blutengel-concert is like an audiovisual experience in cinemascope. It was, thus, rather obvious that a documentation of Blutengel’s “Labyrinth”-tour would have to be on DVD. And, as every shows unfolds a highly unique atmosphere of its own in the combination of the band’s performance at a given evening, the location and the local crowd, the band decided to use material from not just one but from four shows for creating this new concert film.
