‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’ is the first single from the same-titled album of NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS the 14th album of the band. The album and also the single were recorded by Nick Cave, Mick Harvey, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, Jim Sclavunos, Thomas Wydler, James Johnston und Conway Savage at the State of the Ark Studio in London. The studio is the property of Terry Britton, the man behind Tina Turners hit “What’s Love Got to Do with It”. As chance would have it, Love rally had precious little to do with it, as ‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’ is first of all the result of NICK CAVE’s longing, to escape his search for the “Classical Lovesong” and to explore abstract emotional territory. - Details

A few years ago, in 1999, SAMSAS TRAUM released their official debut "Die Liebe Gottes - Eine märchenhafte Black Metal Operette" [Trans.: "The Love of God - a Black Metal Fairytale Opera"] and it divided the scene: Some people said that the band was the best newcomer of the year, other people rather started to hate them, at least also because of some provocative statements by Alexander Kaschte. Now, after having released some albums settled far away from Black or extreme Metal, SAMSAS TRAUM are returning to their roots: The two new albums, which were released in winter 2007 via Trisol Records are also heading new and old ways: While the first Album is some kind of a Black Metal-Epos ("Heiliges Herz - Das Schwert deiner Sonne") (at least the band calls it that way), the other one is an acoustic and very personal one ("Wenn schwarzer Regen..."). And again the opinions of the music press are rather divided.

On Diskonnekted's 3rd full length album "Old School Policies", Belgian artist Jan Dewulf invited several guest vocalist and musicians including SMP on "Anger" and Frank M Spinath from Seabound fame on "Storm" and "Pray Vote Donate Buy". The album is also released as a double-CD limited carton box edition which holds the Propaganda soundtrack in the form of 9 radical remixes by Keef Baker, Controlled Collapse, XP8, Iris, Headscan, Northborne and various others. On 27th and 28th June the biggest festival of East Wurttemberg “Rock am Härtzfeldsee” already takes place for the 12th time. After the sold out show in the past years with Alice Cooper, Motörhead, In Extremo, Saxon etc the 12th issue promises to be a diverse selection of top quality acts, musical delicacies and ambitious newcomers.The Youth Dischingen e.V could allure no one less than APOCALYPTICA for the headlining position on Saturday. There are only a few rock bands on this planet that don’t want to be considered as unique. APOCALYPTICA from Finland deserve that more than the most of them. Very original and innovative in every sense as these classical trained musicians sound like nothing and no one on the history of music.
