"The Old Dead Tree will soon enter the Stage One Studio in Germany, to record their forthcoming album. The recording sessions will start on next June 3rd and last three weeks. Once again, the band decided to give trust to producer Andy "Master" Classen.
The band describes the new material as "a twisted and schizophrenic blend of evocative riffs and arrangements put together with an overload of sheer emotion. The new songs do widen the previous artistic borders without disavowing the typical musical identity of the band".
The Old Dead Tree's yet to be named third album is tentatively due for a worldwide release in autumn 2007, on Season of Mist. "

Songtitles set to appear on the new CD include "In the Blood" and "The Dead, The Dying and the Dying to be Dead". Launch Radio Networks reports: SYSTEM OF A DOWN singer Serj Tankian plans to release his first solo album this fall, while the rest of his bandmates are also working on individual projects. But as for when SYSTEM itself will get back together, Tankian says it's not really on anyone's radar. "I don't know," he said. "That's the truth. I mean, we've taken an indefinite hiatus and we just said, you know, when we're all ready to come back and take time from our own things and do something together we will, if and when we want to. And it's been left at that."

SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera has posted a four-track demo recording of a new song, entitled "Inflikted (After the Slaughter)", at the band's official web site. The track will be available for preview and purchase from May 1 until June 1.
By allowing fans to hear his work as it is in progress, Max wants give his fans a better idea of how he writes, and he hopes to expand views of both writing and recording techniques. Max has used four-track demos to write out his songs for the last 20 years, and over the course of the recording period, the simple structures captured in these primitive outtakes eventually morph into the complex 48-track recording that eventually hits record shop shelves all over the globe. Often Max records these songs immediately as he is thinking of them, which was the case with this song. In fact, Max was so frantic to get this song to tape that he reversed the pickup on his pair headphones to have something to scream his vox into because he didn't have time to search out a microphone when the vision came to his mind - a technique which, in the end, seems to only add to the aggressiveness of the song.

Alex Krull: " We are really looking forward to the upcoming concerts in Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and the Baltic States. We will visit some places where we have never played before with LEAVES' EYES, and are really excited about that. We should start working on our new record in the summertime, before playing in the United States and Canada again. The release of the upcoming CD is planned for 2008, but we will be releasing the DVD before the new record comes out."
