Like the undead and aliens (or even better: undead aliens) usually take over the earth in various horror movies, Wacken will be taking back the Holy Ground next year from August 4 through 6. Credo: “In Metal We Trust!” And that’s why the festival is launching full steam ahead towards Wacken Open Air 2022 today. Let’s start with this information: Their plan is for you to be able to exchange your tickets for W:O:A and Wacken Wednesday from 1 July 2021 on. Basically, the festival will be offering you the same options as last year, but they have learned from experience and are confident that they will be able to make the whole process much easier.- Details

On days off from touring in February 2019 in Copenhagen, TRAITRS slept on the floor of a cold and narrow office space for days. It had barely enough room for a toilet, two thin mattresses and a small sink. With their home and life in Toronto, Canada nearly four thousand miles away, Shawn Tucker and Sean-Patrick Nolan locked themselves in a rehearsal space and wrote new music for a couple of days. - Details

The organizers of the world’s largest Heavy Metal festival Wacken Open Air announced today that the edition planned for the end of July cannot take place as planned due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The 31st edition of the cult festival will therefore take place from August 4th till August 6th, 2022.“Our hearts are bleeding! All visitors, musicians and the entire crew have put all their hopes in being able to celebrate together again in July this year in Wacken, but we have no other choice: we have to go a little longer wait. Health and safety come first, there are no two opinions,” explains Thomas Jensen, head and founder of the festival.

The British Guardian once called GUSGUS “the Icelandic veterans of artsy techno music”. That is somehow correct, because after all, the project around Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson and Birgir Þórarinsson has been around for more than a quarter of a century. But we still advocate GUSGUS more like pioneers than veterans. The duo has always set fresh impulses and first confused their fans with new sounds, then thrilled them. They played “artsy Techno” as well as melancholic House, euphoric Trip-Hop and subtle Pop - or sometimes altogether.Attention: Dur to the Corona pandemic, the tour is postponed to 2022. Tickets remain valid!
