With three number one albums, four Grammy nominations and the record as a Rock act with the most top 10 radio hits in the US singles charts, GODSMACK from Boston, Massachusetts, can confidently be counted among the great legends of Hard Rock. The band has been active since 1995 and has sold over 20 million albums worldwide during that time. Her last long-player to date, ‘When Legends Rise’ from 2018, went straight into the top 10 of the US Billboard charts and was certified gold. Now the next chapter is coming up, because the band has been in the studio since January to record their eighth album. GODSMACK will then go on a world tour, during which they will also come to Germany in October this year to rock the stages in Cologne, Offenbach, Berlin and Munich.

‘Halo’, the new chef d’oeuvre from Finland’s melancholic progressive Metallers AMORPHIS will be released via Atomic Fire on February 11th. In advance of the record’s official unveiling, today the band finally reveals a new single accompanied by a music video filmed in the Finnish snow and directed by Pekka Hara. ‘On The Dark Waters’ is further proof of the band’s undeniable talent in fusing heavy riffs with an epic and melodic chorus, and is not only part of the new album but also available as an exclusive 7” vinyl.- Details

For more than half a year, the keyboarder Thomas “Rauche” Rauchenecker, who lives in Virginia (USA), and the criminal biologist Dr. Mark Benecke were exchanging thoughts about the “magic cicada” (Magicicada). Numerous pictures and sound files were sent and so at some point it made sense to conceive a song from them. After the interesting intro, spoken by Benecke, a song suitable for clubs was arranged from numerous cicada noises. This “mini-album” is expanded by remixes of well-known MASSIV IN MENSCH songs. So, the trance and EDM expert Jeff Johnsen once again lent a hand to ‘Pop Corn’. With ‘Fantasy’ and the voice of Frank Körner-Steding there is a catchy Synth Pop song.
