Singer Whiplasher Bernadotte states: “Stating the obvious, but it’s not possible to do the tour as once scheduled before the pandemic.” The band is currently working on their next studio album to hit the stage with fresh material and brand-new tunes next year. There are not many voices in this world that are so unique and immediately identifiable. Especially not among German singers. The two-time Echo award winner PETER HEPPNER undoubtedly owns one of these absolutely striking voices. As the singer of the band WOLFSHEIM, PETER HEPPNER already let his amazing voice sound. In a duet with JOACHIM WITT and the song ‘Die Flut’, PETER HEPPNER also became known to the wider audience and his solo career started, whereby he would like to continue the WOLFSHEIM project. In the last years other artists recognized PETER HEPPNER’s vocal values and invited him to the studio for songs. Founded in Turkey in 2006, the band now consists of the band members Volkan Caner and Doruk Öztürkcan. For SHE PAST AWAY it quickly became clear that their songs would be performed in their mother tongue Turkish. They experiment with old and new “synth music” aesthetics that they incorporate into their guitar core sound. In this way, SHE PAST AWAY has created a new sound, an attitude and a sensibility, which is complemented by a minimalist sung poetry in Turkish and which puts the listener on an atmospheric continuously ongoing, epic trip - both through her albums and through her live performance. With guitar, synthesizer, drum computer and the quiet dark vocals of Volkan Caner, they remind you of some well-known bands, but the music of SHE PAST AWAY is still independent and interesting.

‘The Fireside Sessions’ was written and recorded during the lockdown and will be released on August 21. The EP consists of five songs written with the band’s fans during a series of streams on Instagram Live entitled “Saturday Songwrite”. As a bow to this collaboration, ‘The Fireside Sessions’ will be released under the banner of SNOW PATROL AND THE SATURDAY SONGWRITERS. The EP was produced by Iain Archer. It will be released digitally and on CD. Prior to the EP release there was the single release of ‘Reaching Out To You’ on July 30th.

Iceland post rock outfit SÓLSTAFIR are now announcing the details for their new album ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’. The record will be released on November 6, via Season of Mist. The cover artwork (The painting is a watercolour of the Lady of the Mountain, 1864, by Johann Baptist Zwecker) and track list can be found below. ‘Endless Twilight of Codependent Love’ was recorded at the Sundlaugin Studio (Iceland), where ‘Svartir Sandar’, ‘Ótta’ and ‘Berdreyminn’ were also recorded by producer Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Rós, Alcest, Damien Rice).
