ICE… -  who? In case you have not heard of them, yet: The Moscow band IC3PEAK consists of vocalist Nastya Kreslina and producer Nikolay Kostylev. There are not many Russian bands known in the West, however IC3PEAK become more and more popular - not only in their home country and Eastern Europe but also in the West. The duo plays digital Industrial Pop, combining Noise elements with melodic clarity and danceable tunes. Their music is also described as Goth Rap, probably because of the dark tunes and spoken / shouted words. They also produce video art and thus the band describes itself as an “audio-visual project” or “audiovisual terror” respectively.

LINEA ASPERA (Latin: Rough Line) is a Dark Wave / Minimal Wave band that formed in London in 2011. The band members are Ryan Ambridge (Synths/ Programming) and Zoè Zanias (born Alison Lewis - Vocals/ Synths). Within the duo, Alison writes and performs all vocal elements, while Ryan is responsible for producing, recording and mixing the electronics. They released their debut album in June 2012.

“I was raised in hell but I made it out,” says NORTHLANE-vocalist Marcus Bridge. “Raised in a place I shouldn’t have been, and no child should have been. But I’ve been able to break free.” That journey out of hell informs Bridge’s lyrics on ‘Alien’, the fifth album from Sydney metallers NORTHLANE. For a band that have traditionally focused on wider issues in the outside world, it is easily the most personal statement of their career. “I grew up with parents who were heavily addicted to heroin and other things,” says Bridge. “With that addiction came aggression from my dad, my mum not being all there, being around drug dealers and people who owned clubs in Kings Cross, just places a kid shouldn’t be. I saw a lot of crazy stuff.”
