DIRKSCHNEIDER? A name that is not just the second incarnation of U.D.O., Udo Dirkschneider’s band. In this form, it pays tribute exclusively to the musical past of its legendary founder and singer. Like Peter Baltes, who has since taken over the position of U.D.O. bassist, Udo was, for many years, a key songwriter in the success of the scene-defining formation ACCEPT, which he himself founded in the 70s. During that creative phase of the German Heavy Metal institution, a certain work called ‘Balls To The Wall’ was created, among other things.
