Biohazard
BIOHAZARD never was “just” a good live band. The four New York based musicians always were an extremely great live band. Millions of fans who saw, heard and celebrated with the highly influential band at about 3.000 concerts in ca 60 countries worldwide on club, hall and festival stages can prove it. Evan, Billy, Danny and Bobby - the four founding members - haven’t played their strong mixture of the Hardcore, Punk and Thrash Metal with socially critical comments and the authenticity of Hip Hop which bestowed them international attention live since 1995. But at the beginning of the year, the original members found back together to doe Europe-wide shows for their 20th anniversary in autumn 2008.

Northern Lite, Noblesse Oblige
Actually you’d rather sleep off if a year starts this way. Already at the beginning of 2007 this TV madness with the howling mass and everything the first league of music has to offer. Laid down the performance and dashing out of the after show in Berlin the next morning with a bunch of promises of the music industry and a bitter taste in the mouth. Usually a band splits up then right away. At least one has to go to rehab and the rest is working on their respective solo careers. So you have to pay respect for the fact that NORTHERN LITE are still there. They used the following rainy summer 2007 to work on a new album ‘Super Black’, released in March 2008.

Oomph!, All Ends
Even in Music it’s hard to please everyone. There are the ones who want to stick to the roots and the once who demand a development. Award winning band OOMPH! freed themselves from all this expectations and perhaps that’s why they managed to merge both worlds with their tenth, once again self-produced album ‘Monster’. “We deliberately retreated and indulged ourselves in the necessary muse, because we wanted our anniversary album to become a matured work and no rush job.” Explains guitarist Flux, so the band was resisting the urge to swiftly enter the studio, because of the TV performance at this year’s Bundesvision Song Contest. “Last year’s winning was a great thing for us and we would have loved to already present our new album at Stefan Raab’s show, but as we place much value on the production it would have meant a loss of quality and that wasn’t acceptable for us.” Crap points out.
