Seven bands have now been added to the billing of Full Metal Holiday. The event will be held on the Balearic island of Mallorca and will take place from October 12th to 19th this year. New on the poster are German stalwarts RAGE, MOTÖRHEAD guitarist PHIL CAMPBELL & THE BASTARD SONS, and THIN LIZZY drummer BRIAN DOWNEY will bring along a band to the Spanish island too. Norwegian YouTuber FROG LEAP will also be in attendance. Sweden is even represented twice as hard rocking ladies THUNDERMOTHER will be joined by gothic glam rockers MISTER MISERY from Stockholm. Local industrial thrashers TOXIC ARMY will be raising the number of women on stage as well.- Details

The legendary SPARKS - namely the brothers Ron and Russell Mael - have announced the release of their now 24th studio album: ‘A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip’ will be released on May 15, 2020 via BMG. In October the duo will embark on a small European tour, on which the SPARKS can also be seen in Germany on October 15th. In an announcement clip, the formation also confirmed the release of the music film ‘Annette’ (without naming a date) written by the SPARKS with Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard, directed by Leos Carax (‘Holy Motors’). Also announced is a currently untitled SPARKS-documentary directed by Edgar Wright (‘Baby Driver’, ‘Spaced’).- Details

Summer in Finland - time to get to the biggest rock festival - Rockfest! This year, it will serve as a grand opening for the new Särkänniemi Event Beach. On Friday SABATON will shake Tampere for sure, followed by IRON MAIDEN on Saturday, who will make the show in Tampere a part of the grand finale of their “Legacy of the Beast” world tour. On Sunday NIGHTWISH will take the stage and since the band will release a new album in spring, there is a chance that there will be some new songs on the setlist.
