Right in time for the presale start the program for the 13th festival issue from 19th to 20th June is complete. After the confirmation of EDGUY as headliner beginning of February everybody was guessing which band would set the festival grounds on fire on Friday. No one less than HAMMERFALL!!! We’re very proud to finally present the band at the festival. With their current album ‘No Sacrifice, No Victory’ the band not only entered #7 of Germany’s album chart but gained top chart positions in many other European countries as well. No wonder, their following tour was a huge success with many sold-out shows on the way. In summer the Swedes return for a few selected festival shows and will serve a top class Best-Of set. Look forward to hits like ‘At the End of the Rainbow’, ‘Templars of Steel’, ‘Blood Bound’, ‘Hearts on Fire’ and many more. Free after the motto: “Let the hammer fall.”- Details

In secret! That’s pretty unusual for the Hungarian rockers of SUPERBUTT yet that’s how they’ve released their new album ‘You and your Revolution’ which is now available as download. In Hungary the album’s already in stores since December 2008 coinciding with a big party in Budapest + DVD recording. The album title already says it: Spit or swallow! LIMBOGOTT talk turkey and ask the people to swallow them as they are or just leave it. That the latter one isn’t the case right now should be clear as ‘Spit and Swallow’ was just released and everybody wants to hear and analyze what the industrial anarchists have crated. For the fourth time in a row the festival is already sold-out in presale. Two months before the most popular German Open Air festival taking place from 5th to 7th June at Nürburgring all 80.000 tickets have been sold. The strong feedback confirmed the modern program conception and mixture with protagonists like THE KILLERS, PLACEBO, BILLY TALENT, MANDO DIAO, PETER FOX and THE PRODIGY on top. Interesting contrasts are harder headliners such as SLIPKNOT, LIMP BIZKIT, MARILYN MANSON and KORN.

The line-up of Area4 festival 2009 keeps taking shape and already now promises a loud and diversified program: Now also the punk rock legend of the 90s THE OFFSPRING has confirmed its attendance and that’s not all. Also freshly confirmed are the hardcore punkers of AFI, the US garage rocker EAGLES OF DEATH METAL and the metal grunge gods around Keith Caputo, LIFE OF AGONY. Furthermore there’s punk rock of ANTI-FLAG, good temper Ska Punk of the MAD CADDIES as well as Oi Punk of the BROILERS. Furthermore we expect the no longer entirely secret insider’s tip from England the BADDIES and after long years of stage absence: CJ RAMONE, the former bassist of legendary RAMONES.
