Tonhalle, Munich, Germany
26th March 2009
Franz Ferdinand

It is not easy to assign the Scottish Indie-rock band Franz Ferdinand stylistically. Their music sounds partly like Brit pop; on the other hand, it shows clear influence from the postal punk of the late 1970th and the New Wave of the early 1980th. On the 23rd of January 2009, her third album ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’ appeared which strongly differs from his predecessors. In contrast to these the sound looks rawer and synthesizers and drum computer are used.

How these changes sound live, you can see in Germany during four concerts. On the 26th of March 2009, the album is introduced to the audience in the Tonhalle / Munich.
