HAGGARD is a Symphonic Death Metal band founded in 1991 in Germany which connects successfully folk, Renaissance, classic, medieval music with modern Metal. Currently the band exists of twelve members - however, shortly before publication of her album ‘Awaking the Centuries’ in 2000 they were already 21 musicians! All songs are written by singer and guitarist Asis Nasseri.

With publication of their fourth album ‘Tales of Ithiria’ on the 29th August 2008, HAGGARD left for the first time the paths of our history. The album is based on a fantasy-story. As a stately narrator of the epics of Ithiria, the percussion legend Mike Terrana (drummer of Rage, Yngwie Malmsteen and Tarja Turunen) lent his sonorous and expressive voice. We can be extremely curious to see the musical conversion of the ever lasting fight between good and bad in the fantastic world of Ithiria which will be performed at Munich's Backstage on the 16th April 2009!
