Bang Your Head Festival
Beautiful located in the middle of nowhere is Balingen. Here is one of the most known festivals in Germany located: The Bang Your Head Festival. It shows up every year with a gorgeous Line-Up and a fan friendly festival, moderate ticket prices, nearby camping locations and a famous After-Show party at the camp ground. 2010, the festival celebrates its 15th anniversary. Warm up show
Traditionally, the festival kicks off with a full dose of metal on Thursday evening at the warm up show. Since 2009, this event is set to take place at the newly built Messehalle named volksbank*messe located right at the festival ground. Tickets for the warm-up show as well as for the festival may be purchased at doors or at the online shop. The Billing for the show is not announced yet, but there are already several confirmations!

TWISTED SISTER
Yes, right: TWISTED fuckin' SISTER will celebrate the 15th festival anniversary with you! It's been a natural choice to invite the sisters: Dee Snider's unforgettable appearance as headlining act back in 2001 laid the foundation for a long lasting friendship between the sisters and us. In 2003, the New York based band had reunited and their comeback show at Balingen marked an all time highlight in the live history of BANG YOUR HEAD! The fans established 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as an unofficial festival anthem by singing it all over the place - even hours, days and years after this legendary show. In 2005, the band joined us one more time with a very special 'Stay Hungry' setlist. Now it's time for another return to Balingen!

“Operation: Balingen” will continue: having delivered an awesome “Mindcrime I+II” double feature set in 2008, QUEENSRYCHE will return to Balingen in 2010 with a “Best Of” set. Get prepared for hymns like 'Take Hold of the Flame', groundbreaking classics à la 'I Dream In Infrared' or 'Walk In The Shadows', essentials like 'I Don't Believe In Love' or 'Eyes Of A Stranger' and those monster hits from 'Empire'!

The past is back to kick your ass! Yes, indeed, KROKUS have returned in their original early 80ies line-up along with Marc Storace, Chris von Rohr and Fernando von Arb. The most popular Rock act ever crossing the home Suisse border to conquer international terrain will participate in our anniversary event and sure show you how to rock with classics like 'Long Stick Goes Boom', 'Rag Dolls', 'American Woman', 'Eat The Rich' or 'Stayed Awake The Night'...

What would a 15th anniversary celebration be without a few good friends? Doro Pesch, one of the most likeable and professional artists in the business, has definitely become one of these. We share quite some history, and apart from that: ground shaking sing-along anthems like 'All We Are' or touching ballads like 'Für immer' are just the right kind of stuff for the festival summer. So join us, when the former WARLOCK-singer hits the stage at Balingen one more time for us...
NEVERMORE
These Seattle based fan faves are and have always been much more than just successors of the legendary SANCTUARY. After having released their self-titled debut, Vocalist Warrel Dane, guitarist Jeff Loomis and their companions quickly progressed to be one oft the most important and influential Metal acts of the 90ies and released genre milestone like 'Dreaming Neon Black' or 'Dead Heart In A Dead World'. Besides being creative and clever songwriters, NEVERMORE proved to be an outstanding stage act as well: Their appearances at Balingen always marked highlights in each festival year they joined us.

BYH Festival Tickets 2010
This year the price is 65.00 EUR, included in this price is the 2-days entry at 16th & 17th of July, 2010. Camping Tickets have to be ordered extra. The camping ticket for one person to stay overnight at the allocated camping sites is incl. 5 Euro garbage deposit (only available with a festival ticket). Car tickets for entry and parking at the allocated camping areas of the BYH (only available with a festival and a camping ticket) are also additional and cost 10 Euro. So you have to be careful in ordering all tickets you need for the festival! Additionally, you can order the official pre-sale-t-shirt to every ticket you order for only 9.99 Euro.
Camping
During their trip to Balingen, most of the visitors stay at the camping ground. Therefore, the promoters set up a special area called the METALCAMP back in 2008. Besides a huge 100,000 m² site, the METALCAMP offers you anything you'll need: A supermarket, an event tent with catering service and after-show parties, showers, toilets and a shuttle bus transfer to the festival site. On approaching Balingen, just follow the road signs to get there.
