Campus To Hell 2010: Airbourne, Sick Of It All, New Model Army, Danko Jones, Fear Factory, Overkill, Agnostic Front, Devil Driver, Sonic Syndicate, Smoke Blow, Neaera, Mr Irish Bastard, Throwdown, At The Farewellparty
The debut of the Devilside Festival indeed left some impressions; some being amazing and some being not so amazing. But let's not talk too long about the past and see what the future has in stock for us, which is the Campus to Hell festival. We can call it the little brother or the successor of the Devilside which is said to return in 2011. The location, chosen for this one is the campus of university Essen, in the past being the environment for festivals already and thus should make quite a fitting location to bring hell on Earth.
If you're having a little look at the festival's billing, your eyes will be close to pooping out of your head if you're into guitar-driven stuff of any kind. Choosing for something easy to start with, we're taking AIRBOURNE, having become shooting stars already and they surely are a worthy proprietor of a headlining position. Continuing the roundelay are SICK OF IT ALL, a name that should be ringing some bells with friends of finest hardcore punk. The band just returned with their newest assault 'Based on a True Story'.British NEW MODEL ARMY is a legend in their own right and their attendance at Campus to Hell can't be appreciated enough. For many it will be a reunion with the past and hits they've come to love from their early years on, but moreover it will be one hell of a party. The list of impressing list doesn't end here though. Canadian sharpshooter DANKO JONES has been confirmed, just as the reunited FEAR FACTORY and the Swedish whirlwinds of SONIC SYNDICATE. And we've still not reached the end yet, and more bands are yet to be announced.
