The XX
When the young band from the suburbs of London released their self-titled album THE XX in last year’s August, critics simply went wild about their irresistible stylistic compound that takes R&B, Anti-Folk, Cure-esque moods and the hell knows what else, and makes it a sensation. No matter which renowned music magazine you’d open at the time, there was a rave and enthusiastic review in it. Only a question of time until there would be live shows, and when they happened they became memorable events.
If you want to know why, make sure you’re attending the show at the E-Werk in Cologne on 26th August. This show is the replacement date for the one, intended to have taken place on 27th February, which like another show had to be cancelled for personal reasons.
