Pluswelt Festival IX: Mesh, Clan Of Xymox, Sono, Portion Control, Scream Silence, Escape With Romeo, Dupont
Last 2-days edition of the Pluswelt festival in April was nothing but a success and it would’ve come close to heresy not to continue with the festival in 2010. For the 2010 edition, however, a few things have changed. For the first time in the event’s history, there’ll be 6 bands performing and there’s also no stylistic separation anymore like experienced in 2009. So if you’ll be attending the festival this year, you’ll get a mixed bag of styles. 2010 will have 2 Pluswelt festivals as well - in different cities this time. The series is being kicked off on 29th October with it taking place for the first time in Germany’s capital Berlin, and on 30th October a usual in Krefeld at Kulturfabrik. Now enough of the common festival talk and let’s have a look at the artists enlisted for the events:
It’s not much of a surprise MESH will be taking the headliner’s position again. They’ve become something like the regular headliner, but for a good reason. Those who’ve ever seen them at one of those shows now that all too well! The iconic CLAN OF XYMOX will honour the festival with two of only a very few club shows they’re going to play in Germany. SONO have already sufficiently given proof they can handle a huge festival stage, just as well as a small, comparatively intimate club environment to drain the club crowd of every drop of sweat. A veteran artist in electronic music has confirmed its attendance with British PORTION CONTROL, bringing their sophisticated melange of intricate, rhythmic electronics and raw emotions to the Pluswelt festival.
SCREAM SILENCE will have the Berlin audience fall into rapture when flooding the Postbahnhof with earthly, punching Goth rock, elevating massive ominous and melancholic atmospheres. The crowd in Krefeld can instead welcome ESCAPE WITH ROMEO and their alluring wave rock, dipped in nostalgic synth lines that are sure to captivate everyone. Last but not least, Swedish DUPONT will fire their hard beats, mixed with finest electronic pop into the expectant audience. No matter which one you’ll be attending; if you opt for Berlin or Krefeld, or even both, the artists will give their all to make sure you won’t leave the venue unsatisfied.
