While the band was there, they met some other musicians; they dragged into the studio right away e.g. the saxophone player of GOGOL BORDELLO, the trumpet player of BEYONCÈ and the pianist of SIMON & GARFUNKEL.
’A Tale of two Devils’ peaked at #1 of the Dutch alternative charts and the singles were that successful, they’re now amongst the most influential bands. The album wasn’t just produced in New York but inspired by the fact that they came back home from the US after quite a long time. Their experiences over there opened them a whole new perspective on their own country, sometimes in a good sense, but also several times in a bad sense. Of course, such inspiration manifests musically what has the album’s sound seem eclectic and wide, as well as peaked in the works with the Berlin-based electronic musician ABOUT, acting as co-producer here.
