Originally released on CD in October of this year on Folter Records, SAMMATH’s “Triumph in Hatred” is the band’s fourth full-length album, and one that everyone agrees is the most hostile and violent SAMMATH album to date. Scheduled to be released in limited edition hand numbered red and black vinyl on the 15th December on Netherlands based Apollon Records, the track listing for the 7-track album is as follows:

1. Blood
2. Burn in the Fires of Hell
3. Interlude/Torment
4. Damnation
5. Blazing Storm of Steel
6. Triumph in Hatred
7. The Dead Lay Torn

Growing up in Australia, raw, fast metal, left its mark on SAMMATH founder Jan Kruitwagen, who moved to Europe in 1989, where he developed a taste for early black metal.  Kruitwagen formed SAMMATH in 1994 and combined his early influences from eighties thrash, speed and death with the Black Metal he had grown to respect, to form what was essentially a two-man project.

Following the release of various demos, and a debut full length album in 1999, Kruitwagen parted company with band-member Gertsen, and joined forces with drummer Koos Bos to produce the band’s 2002 sophomore album  "Verwoesting/Devastation”; an album that combined black and death metal in the violent, unconventional way, that was to become SAMMATH’s trademark sound. This sound was further developed on the 2006 album “Dodengang”.

The release of "Verwoesting/Devastation" inspired the duo to form a live band whose first line up included Ruud Nillesen on bass, Cor van Maris on vocals, Koos Bos on drums and Kruitwagen on guitar. Whilst SAMMATH’s live line up remains fluid depending on circumstances, the core members of Kruitwagen and Bos remain the essence of the band in terms of recording, with MAGNIFICAT’s Magnus Agliareth contributing guitar solos on “Triumph in Hatred”.
