When PTYL’s debut album ‘Hell Sounds’ was released in Germany in 2005, the media’s response was generally positive: “Newcomer of the Month”, “Electronic Highlight of the Year” and other rewards were given to the Israeli artist PTYL. No wonder, as PTYL combines the decadence of VELVET UNDERGROUND, the complexity of SKINNY PUPPY and the urge of deconstruction of NINE INCH NAILS. In Hebrew the meaning of PTYL is fuse chord, which is burning short time before the detonation.
