Youthful Italian rock band WAKEUPCALL release their debut album ‘Batteries Are Not Included’, and continue a punishing run of promotion and gigs. Standard guitar dynamics at work, bubble-gum rock works when sounding like American band KILL HANNAH, plods and drags when sounding more like 80’s era RAINBOW. Naming a song ‘Asshole’ is just asking for trouble, punchy single ‘Just Wanna Dance’ the direction this should really have followed.
Conclusion: Fairly uninspiring and predictable rock offering, inoffensive drive-time music.
