ROCHELLE is 2011 winner of Dutch edition of X-Factor, the casting show, and releases with ‘You vs. Me’ her debut album after releasing a stripped down version of JORDIN SPARKS’ ‘No Air’ before. The songs on the album are all written by others, but performed really good together with a full band in the studio. Result of the sessions were songs where the shiny pop tunes were scraped of and a raw edge was added resulting in catchy tunes. The album turns out quite powerful with only one song coming close to a ballad.
Conclusion: This debut album is a really good poppy rock album with natural pop star edginess and some attitude.
