I love to check out new stuff and RUMOURS from Germany are brand new! The press text reveals nothing except a few colourful words to describe the music on this mini debut EP. This output clocks in with 18:05 minutes which is really short but it is a pleasant 18 minutes so I won’t bitch about it. This is flawless retro high energy Rock, awesome guitar-sound and class riffs paired with great vocals and effective rhythm-work by bass and drums (the press-text does not reveal any names so I can just praise the sound without attaching any names). Be it like it is, these guys sound great: I dig the vocals which remind me of a bit of THE NIGHT ETERNAL in one moment and LUNAR SHADOW in the next moment. The whole musical setting is firmly rooted in rock with heavy 70s influences and sometimes even an occult feeling to it. I, for one, look forward to the first full-length of these guys!
Conclusion: If you dig retro rock and can't get enough of it you should grab a copy of ‘Neither Innocent Nor Wavering’.
