Review Flash

Sometimes writers decide to take a turn at the old Rock Star game themselves, sometimes it’s an hilariously bad idea and sometimes it works like a charm, NECK CEMETERY are a fine example for the latter. NECK CEMETERY were formed in 2018, rumour has it that booze was heavily involved. Sound-wise these guys are influenced by a variety of sounds and subgenres, there are Teutonic elements to Jens’ vocals but there’s also English vocalists I hear in between the lines. The vocals remind me somewhat of Warrel Dane and every now and then even a little bit of Eric Adams (without the godlike screams). There are hints of US Metal and you get quite thirsty due to the party atmosphere on most of the songs. This is a record that makes you want to raise your fist and bang your head and in the end what more could one ask for?

Conclusion: Check out ‘Castle of Fear’ and ‘The Fall of Realm’ they are bangers!
