Most of the stuff I review comes from the United States of America to be honest, it is a country with a crazy output of all kinds of heavy sounds and, of course, there’s a lot really phenomenal stuff coming from abroad but sometimes a little gem from my side of the Planet comes and surprises me. Germany’s PARADOX COMMUNITY play a sick mixture of Groove Metal, Progressive Metal and even parts of Thrash and even IRON MAIDEN inspired melodies (vocals and guitars). Sounds crazy? It does not stop here, Mirko Mucha is a very capable vocalist that varies between Bruce Dickinson’s timbre and sometimes goes from soft too harsh in a matter of moments. It is important to add that this maniac is also playing the guitar and is responsible for a shitload of tasty riffs. Henk Humberg on the Bass is the perfect wingman and backup for Mucha’s riff tempest and Thomas Plum’s progressive drum patterns add the extra spice to the already crazy narratives these guys build.
Conclusion: If you love it harsh, melodic and progressive with a little groove on the side, check this out!
