Review Flash

Sometimes the ways of the lord are inexplicable, TONES OF ROCK contacted me via Instagram to get reviewed by yours truly. TONES OF ROCK play a do-it-yourself version of classic 80s Glam Rock, the fact that it is self-released is only felt when it comes to the production of Francis Venus vocals (a decent producer could have made it a bit more streamlined and radio suitable). Musically and when it comes to skills, the band is up to the task. There are some nice riffs and melodies and the overall quality of the compositions is pretty neat. It will be interesting to hear some of the band’s material under a label with a bit of cash to invest (MÖTLEY CRÜE and GUNS’N’ROSES had big productions too). I really think this is what they need for the next big step and not to forget a decent radio hit.

Conclusion: For fans of 80s Glam and Sleaze Rock and those who still only care for sex, drugs and Rock’n’Roll (nothing bad about that).
