D-TOX is a Groove / Thrash band from Rome, Italy that was formed in 2017. Sound wise this is a wild mix of very different styles and subgenres (the press-text says Thrash but I beg to differ). There is Thrash in there, yes, but there is also Groove Metal and Alternative Rock (clean and more harsh vocals alternating) and some good old MOTÖRHEAD is in there as well. The music is rather complex in that aspect because it never settles for a definitive style which could be called progressive but fails the genre definition by just stressing the fuck out of you by giving of a very agitated and aimless vibe. The parts itself are well played and expertly executed but the absence of a palpable concept is just very exhausting. For a better rating I desperately need central theme that makes sense to be, this is just well-made noise for me.
Conclusion: 56 minutes of this is quite the punishing and what is that gargling sound in the vocals?
