Review Flash

STAGEWAR celebrate 20 years of existence this year and what is better to listen to while partying and drinking a few cold ones than old-school Thrash Metal? STAGEWAR really sound as old-school as it gets and, of course, that is meant as a compliment. The guitar work on tracks like ‘Dead Again’ or ‘What’s Wrong With The World Today?’ time after time remind me of 80s Thrash Gods like MEGADETH and ANTHRAX, the rhythm section is solid as a rock and the vocals of Dominik Dezius are melodic yet rough enough to not threatening the overall heaviness of the compositions. If you are disenchanted with new outputs by bands like METALLICA or MEGADETH rest assured because STAGEWAR got your back. Nothing on this EP feels modern, overproduced or tame, STAGEWAR go right for the throat and their aim is deadly as fuck. If you can manage to listen to the EP titled opener or my fave ‘Dead Again’ without getting the irresistible urge to bang your head and get shit-faced you either have no pulse any more or simply don’t like to rock. STAGEWAR stand for good violent fun, emptying the bar and burning it down before heading someplace else, check this out!

Conclusion: Music to ruin your life to.
