Goethes Erben
GOETHES ERBEN, one of the greatest legends of the German Gothic and Alternative music scene, celebrated their 25th anniversary of being on stage, and Berlin was the city which had the honour to celebrate with them. The C-club was three quarters full, in a mix of many old and some new fans of GOETHES ERBEN. Most of the visitors were clearly part of the Gothic scene – at least visually.

Laibach
Slovenian industrial legend LAIBACH does not need much introduction, being around since 1980 and securing several conceptual works. 2014 was a touring year for Slovenian music collective LAIBACH after releasing their critically acclaimed album 'Spectre'. But also early 2015 will saw even more LAIBACH dates. For Finnish audience LAIBACH's appearance has an additional meaning: Finland is a birthplace of widely known movie ‘Iron Sky’.

Devin Townsend Project, Periphery & Shining
Why DEVIN TOWNSEND had to perform in the narrow tube of the Matrix of all places will probably always remain a secret. I have never heard optimal sound there and especially for the epic wide screen sound of DEVIN TOWNSEND, this component is not that unimportant at all. E-Tropolis Festival 2015: Centhron, Vomito Negro, Spetsnaz, Grendel, Leæther Strip, Laibach, Project Pitchfork, VNV Nation, Phosgore, Ambassador 21, Torul, Solitary Experiments, Frozen Plasma, De/Vision
With over 4,000 visitors, the E-Tropolis Festival at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen set a new visitor record. The audience was diverse and all generations of the dark electronic scene celebrated peacefully or intentionally aggressive in the mosh pit next to each other. The review is going to follow now, separated by stages. Whereas Markus Lambertz took care of the main stage, Fee Wundersee was responsible for the second stage in the Turbinenhalle 2.

Frozen Plasma & Torul
What is the best thing to do when it's weekend time? Tidy up the apartment, weekend shopping maybe, go out dancing could be an option, too. Or one simply gets seated in a bus to drive to Frankfurt when one's own car is defective in order to see TORUL and FROZEN PLASMA. That's what I did – and that even though I knew that I would drive to the E-Tropolis in Oberhausen on the next day and from there to the E-Werk Ost Festival in Dresden. Sounds like an exhausting weekend, right? It was indeed but I've got to say that it paid off. The festival reports will follow, by the way, but let me begin with my report on Friday at first.
