Day 2: Pavlov's Dog, Ray Davies, Dio, Def Leppard, Queensrÿche, Roger Waters
The second day of the festival it seemed like many of the visitors had just come to see the main act of today: Roger Waters. Of course one of the highlights of the festival but there were more bands on stage worth a visit; experienced bands like Dio, Status Quo got the crowd going. Warming them up for the grand finale, 3 hours of Pink Floyd and solo work of mr. Waters.

Day 1: John Waite, Ted Nugent, Uriah Heap, Whitesnake, Status Quo, Journey, Deep Purple
It was a very suny day when the first day of this year's two day Arrow Rock Festival. The program was loaded with all those classic bands that either haven't been in the Netherlands for a very long time or bands that drag in a lot of fans. A huge traffic jam towards the parking place did mean some bands had to be skipped but there were still plenty left to review.

The Dreamside, Sylver Myst, Mantikhoras, Reel
This evening I had the opportunity to visit one of my favourite bands at the moment, The Dreamside. A little month before I visited them for the first time in Den Bosch and was amazed about the quality of their show. Onfortunately they do not play that much in The Netherlands so I really had to grab this chance. So now they were going to play at Molfest gothic, an event that takes place in a youth center in Heerhugowaard every year. I was also curious about the bands Mantikhoras and Reel for I had never heard about them and I always like to be caught by surprise, in a positive way of course... The shows were supported by a VJ who projected different images on a small screen at the right side of the
stage. When we arrived at the venue there were just a few people waiting outside for the doors to open. Throughout the evening it occurred that the audience largely consisted of groups of young teenagers who didn't really seem to care about the music and were just there to have a party. It was also surprising to see that there were hardly any gothic-dressed people. What a difference it was with Den Bosch, where the gothic atmosphere had filled the air. I estimate that tonight's event was visited by about 50 people.

Like every year during Whitsun it was again time for the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig/Germany – this year about 20.000 gothic people from all over the world celebrated the 15th anniversary. After I missed the festival last year I was looking very much forward being in Leipzig this year again – and as imagined before the trip was worth it. Not only the concerts (more than 170 bands were playing) attracted thousands of people – also readings, movie nights, medieval markets, classic concerts, signing sessions or club nights were on the event list. http://www.wave-gotik-treffen.de/
