On the Synth scene in 2019 everything was as usual: many releases with high-quality sound, interesting new projects appeared and the way of many musicians of creating music is becoming more and more sophisticated, ornate and not regular. As usual grandees continue to parasitize on their already irritating sound, but old forgotten and suddenly returned projects sometimes surprise with new features and fresh sound. In general, the Synth scene has been on the same level for several years and produces quite a good number of good albums a year.

A lot of young interesting Post Punk bands have appeared in the guitar dark scene in the year 2019. Their music more and more often take high places in the top lists (in fact, not only mine) and regularly get on the list of best debuts. The Gothic Rock part also does not stay behind: bands, that have already broken through in the scene, do not allow young artists to relax and new projects raise the level higher and higher. In the field of the Neue Deutsche Härte everything looks worse. In the genre as a whole there is a tendency to move towards regular Hard Rock with Heavy Metal in German using rare electronic samples. Albums in the classic sound of NDH appear less and less, but it’s worth saying, that interesting works in that genre still exist.

Liss Eulenherz was not only one of two singers of Future Pop / Electro Pop / Synth Pop band SONORUS7 from Leipzig until the band split up in March 2020, she is also photographer, media and video designer within Eulenherz Artwork, a creative multimedia team by Liss and Danny who are specialized in video, short film, layout, press-and promo work, concert photography, artwork and band marketing. Currently, she also works together with ZWEITE JUGEND who are releasing ‘Die ganze Nacht’ on March 6th together with her as a second singer. She also produced the official music video for this piece. During the video shooting we saw her beautiful tattoos and of course asked her to be part of our project. She agreed and furthermore delivered amazing photographs. Our today’s guest is Eli van Vegas, singer of the emerging Electro Punk / EBM band ZWEITE JUGEND. After having released their latest album about one year ago, followed by many club shows and prestigious festival shows at Wave Gotik Treffen and NCN Festival in 2019, the band is now about to release the single ‘Die ganze Nacht’ on March 6th together with the singer Liss Eulenherz (SONORUS7) who also produced the official music video for this piece. Some shows will follow right afterwards: ZWEITE JUGEND will take Liss with them to some of their shows. One of those will be at this year’s E-tropolis Festival. So, in between producing, rehearsing and travelling, Eli found some time to answer our questions about his tattoos.
