Album Review

‘Unbounded’ is the name of TEMPESTA´s newest release and although they might be not that famous all over the world, the band they are referred to is without any doubt: METALLICA - due to singer Reto Thalmann´s voice that is very similar to James Hetfield´s. TEMPESTA´s music is typical southern rock with certain own elements within, but the reminiscence of bands like METALLICA, KID ROCK etc. is indisputable. Unfortunately, in my opinion ‘Unbounded’ is not that electrifying. Sometimes the composing is too simple, lacking of hook-lines and really catchy refrains is the main criticism. Maybe it´s my personal attitude, but somehow that kind of music is antiquated – or there are other bands that are quite capable of building bridges into this day and age. TEMPESTA is not that one from my point of view. Although they´re able to compose their own style, the kind of presentation on ‘Unbounded’ is not felicitous. The changes between real Hard Rock and ballads are too predictable and somehow too clichéd. Might be that there are a lot of old fashioned fans, that are really into that kind of music, but I´m not, unfortunately. Sorry guys…!
