15th July 2011
Thin Lizzy, Vintage Trouble
Having the only club gig in Germany in summer during their THIN LIZZY Europe 2011 Tour in Aschaffenburg's Colos-Saal, it was no surprise to finally have a sold out venue. And it turned out to be a great evening in rock!

Zita Rock Festival Day 2: Qntal, Teufel, End of Green, Samsas Traum, Schandmaul and Apocalyptica
Well, after the first day which had already been wet, we all hoped for a better day this Sunday. However, what can I say? The weather god apparently didn't hear us and so, the day started rainy and continued being just like that for the whole day with the exception of about 2 minutes in between. Nevertheless, this day promised some good music and so, the weather didn't stop the people from having a great time!

Fortarock Festival Part III: Paradise Lost, Sacred Reich, Immortal, Arch Enemy
After two previous successful editions, the third Fortarock festival was taking place at Park Brakkenstein in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. As every year, I’m surprised (and very pleased!) to see how the organisation managed to create a line-up of well-known names, both old and new. Fortarock treats its audience to a lot of different flavours in the big pool of metal and hard rock. All there was left to wish for was a day without rain and some quick feet to keep up with the tight schedule. Fortarock is a one-day festival with two stages, 14 bands (KVELERTAK – VALIENT THORR – GOD DETHRONED - AGNOSTIC FRONT – GOJIRA – PARKWAY DRIVE – GHOST – DARK TRANQUILITY - TRIPTYKON – CHANNEL ZERO – PARADISE LOST – SACRED REICH – IMMORTAL – ARCH ENEMY) and no break in between.

Nordstern Festival Day 2: Blitzmaschine, Absurd Minds, Ascii Disko, Diorama, Combichrist, IAMX, VNV Nation
The second festival day was taking place outside, at the wonderful little stage at the Stadtpark. Sadly, the weather forecasts were quite mixed and later the day, we had some heavy rain showers, but also very nice weather with warm sun. Headliner VNV NATION had promised to play new songs, so we were looking forward the evening already at 14:30, when first band BLITZMASCHINE entered the stage.
