Epica and Chillburn
After two hours by train and 10 minutes by bus I finally arrived at the Mezz in Breda. It is a beautiful building to see; round shapes made of curved wooden planks and different kinds of light decorations inside. This evening the building was filled with exited Epica fans, waiting to see their favourite band perform and perhaps even hear some new songs live…..

Pain Of Salvation and Dark Suns
The Locomotive (La Loco) is a small venue in the Pigalle neighbourhood, very near to the famous Montmartre hill, (just a few hundred meters southwest from it) It is not unusual for metal events, but it's actually not a real concert venue, rarely used for that purpose, though the sound can be very good. It's in fact used as a night club with 3 different floors, and there are sort of balconies on the sides and stairs far from the scene, but from the balconies you can get a clean view over the stage.

The 69 Eyes and Lycosia
It’s not a little event at all to see the 69 Eyes coming in France: despite their fifteen years of existence, the combo never played a gig here. Unfortunately, the concert delayed due to an obligatory cloakroom, which make people slowly enter in the venue four by four.

Corvus Corax
Some days after I had seen Tanzwut together with their support band Cornix Maledictum I went to Kusel´s club be-inside (www.be-insi.de) to see Corvus Corax… I saw the same people on stage like some days before… Corvus Corax is the same as Tanzwut (together with Ardor from Cornix Maledictum). Entering the club at about 8 o´ clock, there were really a lot of people in front of the stage. About 200 people came to see them playing live and enjoyed a medieaval evening.

Client and Equatronic
Ascension Day Afternoon. I still had a slight hangover from the party the night before. But that couldn´t keep me away from driving nearly 150km from Münster to Krefeld to see the British pop duo client. They were supported by the German band Equatronic. Even though this band is now more than a decade active I´ve never heard anything of them before. But I was told that they make synth pop stuff. So I was sure it would fit quite well to Client with their 80s influenced kinky synth music. The concert again took place in the small club of the Kulturfabrik... promising an intimate concert close to the band.
