Midge Ure - “1980 Tour (Visage and Vienna)” 2019 - Support: Rusty Egan
New Romantic was born out of the Punk movement in the UK. It initially started in clubs like The Blitz in London, a small club night aimed at fans of DAVID BOWIE and ROXY MUSIC - and of course electronic bands such as KRAFTWERK. Both MIDGE URE and Rusty Egan were members of RICH KIDS, a band put together by Glen Matlock of the SEX PISTOLS. The roots of New Romantic were formed due to members of the punk scene wanting to be part of a distinctive, creative fashion movement, but led by a different style of music.

Coma Alliance
A little less than a year ago COMA ALLIANCE released their debut album ‘Weapon of Choice’ - a perfect sensation for fans of DIARY OF DREAMS and DIORAMA as this is nothing less than a joined venture by Adrian Hates and Torben Wendt. After all those years of musical cooperation and friendship they managed to release a piece of art that is neither DIARY OF DREAMS nor DIORAMA, but instead a unique and ingenious journey through Dark Wave, Trip Hop and Minimal Electro, rich with fascinating facets, sometimes epic, sometimes minimalistic, and the amazing energy of both characteristic voices joined together.

WILLIAMS, in the concert review about the gig in Munich. Therefore I limit myself here in the review about the gig in Cologne and only write about the performance of both bands.

Gary Numan - “(R)evolution” Tour - Support: Kanga
I’ve seen GARY NUMAN countless times over the years, and it’s fair to say my music interest stems from me hearing ‘Are Friends Electric’ on the television at the tender age of eleven years old. In 2018 he embarked upon a short orchestral tour, accompanied by the Skaparis Orchestra at such prestigious venues as The Royal Albert Hall. This was a fantastic concert, for me second only to the ‘farewell’ gigs at Wembley - can this be followed?
