M’era Luna Festival 2018 Day 1 with Markus Heitz, David Grashoff, Christian von Aster, Cyborg, Whispering Sons, Erdling, Cephalgy, Merciful Nuns, Eisfabrik, Zeraphine, Rabia Sorda, Tanzwut, Das Ich, Lord of the Lost, Clan of Xymox, The 69 Eyes, Welle:Erdball, Apoptygma Berzerk, Nachtmahr, Ministry, In Strict Confidence, In Extremo, London After Midnight, The Prodigy
Day-flying moths and nocturnal Goths, from here and afar, they’ve all been eagerly awaiting the second weekend of August. It was finally time for the M’era Luna moon to rise and shine again. The airfield in Hildesheim, Germany, was once again transformed into a Gothic wonderland inviting dark music lovers to spend an eventful weekend with friends old and new. After the first visitors had put up their tents, the traditional Friday readings rang the festival in.

Fools Garden - “Feuer und Flamme - 30 Jahre Flora”
The open-air “Feuer und Flamme” (transl. “Fire and Flame”) around the music fireworks of the pyro specialists “Flash-Art” this year was all about the 30th birthday of the Flora Westfalica. Under the motto “Happy Birthday, Flora” the visitors were expecting a party mile with music fireworks, bands, walking acts and street food.

Devildriver - “Outlaws ‘Til the End European Tour” 2018 - Support: Lost Society
Californian Metal band DEVILDRIVER brought their tour to Cologne to play a headline show at the intimate venue Gebäude 9 on a warm summer evening. Onto their summer tour, they brought their recent and eighths release, which is called ‘Outlaws ‘Til The End: Vol. 1’, and it was released on July 6th, 2018.

Beartooth - European Tour 2018 - Support: Skywalker, Loathe
Hardcore band of the hour, the Columbus Ohio formation BEARTOOTH, has thrown in a few club shows in between their festival appearances here in Europe. The first show announced in Oberhausen’s Kulttempel sold out in 22 hours. Luckily, the band and the venue were able to schedule another gig right on the day before this one, so those quick enough to secure a ticket had the pleasure of seeing this band perform songs from the new yet unreleased album ‘Disease’ in a really intimate surrounding.
