Bif Naked
She is one of the “Enfant terribles” in rock business. There is no comparison with any other female singer actually. Born in India and adopted by American missionaries she is now living in Canada. Until now she released seven fulltime albums and a greatest hit album. She took part of some soundtracks, i.e. “Buffy”. Bif Naked worked also with the punk bands “Gorilla Gorilla” and “Chrome Dog”. Her last solo album “Superbeautifulmonster” came out in 2005 and she was on tour to present it in Europe. I had the possibility to meet her before the concert in Stuttgart. We talked a while in her tour bus.

Andreas "Whiplasher Bernadotte" Bergh of Deathstars
The day started early with a game of catch-up over cell phones between me and David, the tour manager. Setting a time for the interview was finally accomplished, but not in detail until we actually met each other in the restaurant at Zeche Carl / Essen before the concert. But there it was at least as easy as David asking Whiplasher directly when it would fit. So, we got ourselves seated at the bar and waited until it was time to go backstage and start firing away some questions. Guided in by David, we first said a quick hello to the rest of the band before finding a somehow isolated spot at a bar table. The interview was held in Swedish and translated afterwards into English.

Interview with
Alea, Lasterbalk and Thoron of Saltatio Mortis
‘Saltatio Mortis’ is a German medieval-rock-band. They released pure medieval albums and also albums full of modern rock songs, which are supported by medieval instruments. Their last album ‘Des Königs Henker’ was released in 2005 and they were on tour just a few weeks ago. There they combined medieval instruments with modern rock elements. I could talk a while with Alea (singer), Lasterbalk (drums) and Thoron (percussion, Shawn) before the concert in Karlsruhe on 13th April.
