Following the announcement of their extensive 2026 tour plans, the British hard rock legends now reveal details of their new studio album, ‘SPLAT!’, set for release on 3rd July via earMUSIC. Once again, DEEP PURPLE have teamed up with renowned producer Bob Ezrin (PINK FLOYD, ALICE COOPER, LOU REED, KISS). Together, they have crafted an album that harks back to the sound and attitude that have always set Deep Purple apart.To celebrate the release, DEEP PURPLE will continue their live activities in 2026 with no fewer than 86 shows across 28 countries on three continents, appearing on some of the most beautiful open-air stages in summer and in the country’s most prestigious arenas in autumn.
For over five decades, DEEP PURPLE have been among the most influential and defining Rock bands in music history. With classics like ‘Smoke on the Water’ and ‘Highway Star’, they have significantly shaped hard rock - and in 2026, they continue to perform on the world’s biggest stages with undiminished energy.
With over 120 million albums sold and countless sold-out arenas worldwide, the British band is one of the most enduring acts in rock history. Since their formation in 1968, DEEP PURPLE have regularly released chart-topping albums and undertaken worldwide tours - without losing sight of their musical roots.
Their success has continued unabated into the new millennium: In the last decade, the band has sold over two million albums, and their last four studio albums - including their most recent work, ‘=1’ (2024) - have consecutively topped the German album charts four times. The current line-up - Ian Gillan (vocals), Roger Glover (bass), Ian Paice (drums), Don Airey (keyboards), and Simon McBride (guitar) - combines experience, virtuosity, and fresh energy.
