The record is a reinterpretation of the original soundtrack to ‘TRON: Ares’, featuring 20 tracks that combine previously unreleased ‘TRON: Ares’ material by NINE INCH NAILS with remixes by Arca, Mark Pritchard, Boys Noize, Lanark Artefax, Chilly Gonzales, Danny L Harle, Jack Dangers, Pixel Grip, Working Men’s Club, The Dare and Schwefelgelb.

The album can be streamed now, while 2-LP vinyl and CD editions are available for pre-order.

‘TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ - featuring all the original music composed by NINE INCH NAILS for the third instalment of the groundbreaking TRON film series - debuted last autumn at No.1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Dance Album charts, reached No.5 on the Billboard 200 and No.8 in the Official German Album Charts. In the UK it topped the Official Soundtrack Albums Chart.

The soundtrack marked the first film score released under the NINE INCH NAILS name. It represents a striking departure from the acclaimed film compositions created by band members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross under their own names - work that has earned them two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, a GRAMMY® and an Emmy.

The lead single ‘As Alive As You Need Me To Be’, which won the GRAMMY for Best Rock Song, was praised by The New York Times as “a return to the buzz-bomb synthesizers, stomping march beat, stereo ricochets and gut-wrenching vocals of the band’s heyday”.

Recently NINE INCH NAILS launched the second North American leg of their critically acclaimed “Peel It Back Tour”, performing in cities including New Orleans, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Washington, DC, Boston, Newark, Montreal and Hamilton. The tour follows last year’s sold-out global run across Europe, the United Kingdom and North America, which attracted more than 450,000 fans and received widespread praise.

Reviewing the opening show, The Times wrote: “The show was a revelation - a thrilling onslaught that combined angst, sincerity and a nightmarish otherworldliness…” UPROXX described it as “a triumph of sound, obviously, but also sight. It could have been a movie, and Nine Inch Nails were the stars.” The tour concludes on Monday, 16 March, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

Founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor, NINE INCH NAILS are widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential acts in modern music. Known for their fusion of Industrial, Electronic, Rock and Ambient elements into emotionally raw and sonically aggressive compositions, the multi-GRAMMY®-winning band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 and have redefined the boundaries of mainstream music. The group have sold more than 20 million records worldwide and were named Live Act of the Year by Consequence in 2025.
