Blutengel have set out to lure us into their labyrinth … and, like in the ancient lore, it is inhabited by fabled creatures, dark angels and vampires, with a myriad of gloomy, romantic tales woven around its very existence. The path inside is not burdensome, as the masters of Dark Pop are tempting us with enticing vocal arrangements, catchy tunes and dance floor compatible beats. In Blutengel’s “Labyrinth”, one is in no need for a guiding thread ensuring a safe path outside … the magnetic pull of these dark anthems is too great as that one would ever long to escape them again. The album includes the charts-approved single “Lucifer” as well as 14 other sonic gems, all sporting the trademark Blutengel-sound that always finds the right balance between dark romantic elegies and club-oriented tracks.

The band was unleashing a new single upon the world on August 1st, 2007. From the forthcoming album "Walking With Strangers", the track "Looking Glass" is posted on Myspace and will appear on VampireFeaks, Bebo, Pure Volume, and Mind Viz. Stop by any of those sites to hear the final album mix of "Looking Glass". Also, 24th of August the 1st single will be digitally released: "Red Stars" -full version made available for download! TBM are working on their upcoming album since the beginning of the year. A first glimpse of the new material is possible on vampirefreaks.com or myspace.com/thebirthdaymassacre. Here one can listen to a rough-edit of the new song "Kill The Lights". Just recently, mid of may, the band went into the studio together with Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (NIN, Skinny Puppy, Marylin Manson) in Toronto. Finally they went to Vancouver with Dave to finalize the new CD "Walking with Strangers". The result are 12 excellent new songs.

The long awaited COVENANT DVD ‘In Transit’ is soon finished. The package consists of three disks which contain a full show in Dolby Digital 5.1 as well as a bonus DVD with diverse live clips, extended interviews and tour recordings out off the private surrounding of the band during the tour through Germany, South America, USA, Russia and Scandinavia in 2006/2007.But that’s still not all: together with the double DVD package comes an audio live CD with the highlights of the shows. Expected release date in Europe is end of October
