The previous editions of W-Fest were taking place in August. Two years ago, the festival moved to the Expo in Waregem, an indoor venue, also taking place in August. Last year’s festival was planned for May for Waregem. Due to the Corona pandemic, plans have changed and now, the festival is announced for a very new location for August: the Klein Strand (“Small Beach”) in Oostende.

Italian Metal giants LACUNA COIL release their new live track and video for ‘Veneficium’ today via Century Media Records. The track is off the band's forthcoming live album, ‘Live From The Apocalypse’, which is set for release on June 25th. “‘Veneficium’ is the painful and fierce scream that rises from the darkness. Another day has born and has new hope in it, the poison inside has been defeated and a new refreshed and healed life can start again,” states Lacuna Coil frontwoman Cristina Scabbia about ‘Veneficium’.

Today Lisa Gerrard and Jules Maxwell, best known for their involvement as members of DEAD CAN DANCE, release the video ‘Heleali (The Sea Will Rise)’ from the ‘Burn’ LP. This song and video are calming and grounding. This is the latest offering from the duo’s new ‘Burn’ EP, produced by James Chapman (aka MAPS) and out now via London’s Atlantic Curve. Writes Altvenger, “Lisa Gerrard has continued creating a universe of sonic beauty even beyond the scope of the band,” calling this “something equally, if not more stunning, than the bulk of her soundtrack work.”

It took more time than any other Dependent project, but we are proud to announce that finally, “Touring Skyward - A MESH Tour Movie” will be available for pre-order very soon. As if it hadn’t been hard enough to choose material from three concerts during the Englishmen’s most recent tour, mixing them turned out to be a challenge, not to forget getting the age rating approval during the pandemic and the fact that the virus also affected the production personnel. So, thanks to all the fans for their patience!

ROTERSAND’s debut and second album are milestones of electronic music and rife with club hits such as ‘Merging Oceans’, ‘Exterminate Annihilate Destroy’ or ‘Dare To Live.’ Accordingly, they have been long out of print, but recently, Rasc and Krischan sat down with Dependent Records to work on expanded limited editions of both titles.

For the first time ever, ‘Truth is Fanatic’ and ‘Welcome to Goodbye’ will be available as 180g gatefold double vinyl and 2CD hardcover artbooks featuring unreleased bonus tracks such as the group’s first demo ‘Sommer 02’ and live cuts from DNA Lounge in San Francisco. The books also contain liner notes, written by Joakim Montelius (COVENANT), Rasc and Dependent’s Stefan Herwig, who was the band’s manager back in the day. Pre-order starts soon...
