Ministry - “Amerikkkant” European Tour 2018 - Special Guests: Grave Pleasures

America’s Industrial Metal pioneers MINISTRY have announced a gig in the wonderful Cologne Essigfabrik. MINISTRY were founded back in 1981 by master mind and front man Al Jourgensen, whose job description includes producer, singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. MINISTRY were immensely successful with their first three studio albums beginning of the 90ies. The band dissolved in 2008, but re-united in 2011. Since then, Al Jourgensen and his musician friends have released three more albums. The last is called ‘AmeriKKKant’ and contains a vicious and blistering criticism of America since the election of November 2016.

Otherwise it is hard to explain how a guitarist in two billboard-topping rock bands (ALTER BRIDGE and CREED) can find the necessary time to follow up on his solo career with the band carrying his surname. TREMONTI have recently released an album called ‘A Dying Machine’, which is their fourth long-player since their inception in 2012.

In the early nineties Hamburg, band U96 wrote musical history with Hayo Lewerentz and Ingo Haus with the hypnotic-magical techno version from the feature-film soundtrack classic, ‘Das Boot’. Now the songwriter / producer team returns to the public with a new double album: ‘Reboot’ will be released on June 29, 2018. It includes 17 new songs (plus eight more numbers on the bonus CD) and showcases many different facets and spectacular guests including NDW star Joachim Witt, ex-KRAFTWERK drummer Wolfgang Flür and soul singer Terri B! More than ten years have passed since the last U96 album, ‘Out Of Wilhelmsburg’ (2007). So the time was ripe for this current sign of life.
