Founded in 2006, the band’s name (a historic CURE song) suggests where the roots of this Swedish band are to be found. But who fears another, threatening plagiarism of the men around Robert Smith, has already been taught a better one on the previous albums: THE EXPLODING BOY have inhaled spirit, soul and wit of the Goth, but sell them with individuality, verve and first Line with good songs. THE EXPLODING BOY released their new album, ‘Alarms!’, on May 18th, 2018. With their unique mixture of genres like indie, post punk and gothic the Swedes have made a name for themselves in particular scenes. In November and December 2018 the band will be coming to Germany for some selected dates!

LAIBACH have announced details of their eagerly awaited album, The Sound of Music, out on Mute on 23 November 2018 on vinyl, CD and digitally.

The Sound of Music was conceived when Laibach were infamously invited to perform in North Korea in 2015. The band performed several songs from the 1965 film’s soundtrack at the concert in Pyongyang, chosen by Laibach as it’s a well-known and beloved film in the DPRK and often used by schoolchildren to learn English. Laibach are joined by Boris Benko (Silence) and Marina Mårtensson on vocals and the album gives the Laibach treatment to tracks such as ‘My Favorite Things’, ‘Edelweiss’, ‘Do-Re-Mi’ and ‘Maria’, here reworked as ‘Maria / Korea’ (“How do you solve a problem like Maria / Korea?”).

The festival is fully booked. From now on, only festival tickets without overnight stay are available in strictly limited amount. Just four weeks after the announcement of the first 13 artists for PLAGE NOIRE 2019, the festival can announce that all ticket contingents including two overnight stays at the Ferienpark Weissenhäuser Strand are fully booked.

The indoor comfort festival for supporters of the black scene will take place on the 3rd and 4th of May next year at Ferienpark Weissenhäuser Strand. In total, more than 25 bands will perform on three stages. In addition, visitors can look forward to an extensive and detailed program with readings, parties, autograph sessions, fashion walks, make-up sessions and artful productions.

Their unique style of post-punk ethos, rock, neo-classical, folk and world music has been thrilling since the early '80s - yet DEAD CAN DANCE has managed to add new facets to each album. The title of their album already announces: this time they are dedicated to the Greek god Dionysus, the god of wine, joy, grapes, madness and ecstasy.
