No sooner did the New York Power Pop group WE ARE SCIENTISTS return with their fifth studio album ‘Helter Seltzer’, they are already announcing their live dates in Germany. ‘Helter Seltzer’ is, according to their own statement, their most crazy album so far, for which they were able to win their former keyboarder Max Hart as producer. He brought in all his magical abilities to make the album shine and at the same time to crack.

Mr. UDO LINDENBERG was coming to his fans to say thank you for his last, sold-out tour and to give those who couldn't make it another chance to join in his massive rock spectacle. His current tour all over Germany is titled “Stärker als die Zeit” - “Stronger than time”. This man is over seventy years old now and he is still rocking the stage. If you need a definition for “fantastic show”, just go and see his concerts which are not really concerts but more a rock revue (lasting more than two hours) with his band (the Panic Orchestra), several extra singers and dancers, guest musicians, a children’s choir, crazy costumes, artistic intermissions, a very cool stage design, a fabulous light show with additional lasers and some pyrotechnic at the end and last but not least extraordinary sound… all of this based on his well-known songs. ORV is back with the new album 'Discontinued'. Here one might say that ORV simply goes on from where he started with the debut album. Sure, again 'Discontinued' offers a mixture of ballades and pop- and clubsongs, yet better than before. And by this it's proving what synthpop still can be: popsongstructures without having to curry favour with the mainstream or Zeitgeist. Popsongs that not only can be but also are allowed to be experimental, even sometimes not to care about popsongstructures at all. In some way a sort of melodic protest.
