On their most versatile album to date, Unzucht are spicing up their anthemic Dark Rock with surprisingly brutal intermezzos. “Neuntöter” unleashes a maelstrom of unbridled emotion, dark melodies and sudden aggression. The “Neuntöter”-bird (Engl.=red-backed shrike) is a deceiver. By outward appearance a harmless-looking bird of extraordinary beauty, it reveals itself as a merciless killer which impales its victims on thorns before devouring them. Choosing this fascinating creature as the titular beast for Unzucht's new album clearly was a deliberate choice by the band and charismatic front man Daniel Schulz, as many of the songs also tend to similarly reveal hidden sides. At first, the group's Dark-Rock-anthems tend to ingrain themselves deeply in the listener's ear, only to unexpectedly reveal a spiky thorn that is rammed straight into the heart.
Rummelsnuff, captain among the iron pumpers, is reactivating his contraptions. On his new album, he not only finally grants his longtime creative companion, mate Asbach, a long overdue title credit, he also delivers his most versatile work to date. The fifth album from Germany's most charming and relentlessly melodic strong man is here! Aficionados of the musclebound titan will most probably be aware of the fact that Rummelsnuff has actually been working as a team of super heroes for quite some time … hence, it is rather logical that his musical sidekick should also be featured in the album title, this time around.

Exciting news from the Krayenzeit fold: the band from southern Germany, formed in 2011, will be raising the roof this summer as they present their new album Tenebra, a worthy successor to their 2015 debut Auf dunklen Schwingen, which received unanimous praise from the trade press, the online community and the fans alike. With Tenebra the seven-piece band continue to develop their own style, documenting unequivocally that their musical roots lie in metal but at the same time adhering to the diversity of folklore influences. Whereas tracks such as ´Noli timere messorem` are notable for their driving double bass passages, and ´Ruf der Lamia` for its modern riffing, tracks like ´Narrenschiff` and ´Chimaera` are defined by traditional musical instruments such as the chalumeau, rauschpfeife, tin whistle, low whistle, concertina and hurdy-gurdy.
earMUSIC is happy to welcome KMFDM, the renowned industrial rock pioneers from Germany, for the release of “ROCKS – Milestones Reloaded” on September 9th, 2016. The album, a personal “best of" compilation by KMFDM protagonists and masterminds Sascha Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli, who claim the re-imagined, re-mixed pieces would be an "ideal playlist for a live set", commemorates the band’s 32nd anniversary. Ranging from remixes by Bradley Bills of CHANT to producer/musician extraordinary Marco Trentacoste and Sascha Konietzko himself, the re-worked versions extract the essence of KMFDM’s music and, at the same time, place new emphases.
