Dear M'era Luna friends, it's been far too long that we mailed you, particularly regarding the new artists of the upcoming year. Nevertheless, you didn't seem miffed about it since the ticket sale for #mera17 is going better than ever. The trust you have in us makes us very proud and grateful. As you know, we've once again conducted our annual band voting in the meantime to see which artists are most wanted for the next M'era Luna. Apocalyptica - 20 Years of “Plays Metallica By Four Cellos“
APOCALYPTICA has included a stop at Essen Colosseum on the 22nd February 2017 to take us to a journey to their amazing beginning. On 10th May 1996, APOCALYPTICA released their debut album ‘Plays Metallica By Four Cellos’. It features eight instrumental METALLICA covers arranged and played on cellos. The band was invited to record this album by a label employee after a 1995 show in which they performed some of the songs. The members were initially unsure and thought nobody would listen to such a record, but the employee insisted and they recorded it.

Embracing music at an early age, DÉDÉ DAVI (aka "Dede") took flute and classical piano lessons, which developed her passion to write and sing her own music. After leaving Croydon for the University of Manchester, where she took a Politics degree, she began writing and collaborating with local musicians, playing her first shows and recording late night sessions in local studios. She began creating her own sound inspired by her favourite artists and her newfound indie surroundings in Manchester.- Details

Steve Hewitt was the drummer for BREED, BOO RADLEYS and K-KLASS in the 1990's before settling in as co-writer, co-producer and drummer for PLACEBO for 12 years. He now fronts his own band LOVE AMONGST RUID. Their sophomore album 'Lose Your Way' was released in 2015 to great acclaim. The accompanying 'Lose Your Way Acoustic' album - recorded over one very long weekend - was released the following year.- SEASURFER - New single `If You Leave´ out now and a new album will follow
